Setup the bugzilla 5.0 on the CentOS 6.7 x64

Hello Amanda, my colleague, Erwin, and he reminded me about posting a rubbish! Let us to talk about the today’s topic. We could use this system to track the bugs about our products in the future, and it’s belong to the field of opensource, so I tried to setup it for getting more detail information about the operation of this system. How do we setup this system on the CentOS 6.7 x64? Let’s keep reading:

1) Install the packages and enable the related services about the background of bugzilla
#yum -y install httpd mod_ssl mysql-server mysql php-mysql gcc perl* mod_perl-devel
#service httpd start
#chkconfig !!:1 on
#chkconfig mysqld on
#service mysqld start
Initializing MySQL database: Installing MySQL system tables...
OK
Filling help tables...
OK
To start mysqld at boot time you have to copy
support-files/mysql.server to the right place for your system
PLEASE REMEMBER TO SET A PASSWORD FOR THE MySQL root USER !
To do so, start the server, then issue the following commands:
/usr/bin/mysqladmin -u root password 'new-password'
/usr/bin/mysqladmin -u root -h bugzilla.labs.org password 'new-password'
Alternatively you can run:
/usr/bin/mysql_secure_installation
which will also give you the option of removing the test
databases and anonymous user created by default. This is
strongly recommended for production servers.
See the manual for more instructions.
You can start the MySQL daemon with:
cd /usr ; /usr/bin/mysqld_safe &
You can test the MySQL daemon with mysql-test-run.pl
cd /usr/mysql-test ; perl mysql-test-run.pl
Please report any problems with the /usr/bin/mysqlbug script!
Starting mysqld: [ OK ]

2) Create the DB, username and password for the usage of bugzilla
#mysql -u root -p
Enter password: -> Default PW is blank.
Welcome to the MySQL monitor. Commands end with ; or \g.
Your MySQL connection id is 2
Server version: 5.1.73 Source distribution

affiliates. Other names may be trademarks of their respective
owners.
Type 'help;' or '\h' for help. Type '\c' to clear the current input statement.
mysql> create database bugzilladb;
Query OK, 1 row affected (0.00 sec)
mysql> grant all on bugzilladb.* to bugzillauser@localhost identified by "mypassword";
Query OK, 0 rows affected (0.00 sec)
mysql> quit
Bye

3) Download and untar the tarball of bugzilla 5.0
#wget https://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/webtools/bugzilla-5.0.tar.gz

#tar zxvf bugzilla-5.0.tar.gz -C /var/www/html/
#mv /var/www/html/bugzilla{-5.0,}/
#cd /var/www/html/bugzilla/

4) Check and install the part of failing modules through the script
#./checksetup.pl
* This is Bugzilla 5.0 on perl 5.10.1
