Introduce how to make the environment for input the commands at the same time

Well, it’s time to post a rubbish. I have shared the basic usage about the tmux w/ the previous article, but don’t mention about the method how to input the commands at the same time under the all panes. I met this condition recently, so noted the related progress and combination hotkeys under this article. Let’s keep reading:

1) Check the package about the tmux w/ below command
#rpm -qa | grep -i tmux -> Can download it through epel or another mirrors

2) Setup the binding for the hotkey about switching the status of synchronize-panes
#cat ~/.tmux.conf -> The same key or by the case
bind e setw synchronize-panes on
bind E setw synchronize-panes off
bind e set-window-option synchronize-panes

3) Setup the four panes in a session for trying to do the input at the same time
Ctrl-b is the function key, and sent C-b + " to produce the two panes w/ top and bottom.
C-b + % to produce the two panes w/ left and right.
C-b + o to switch the each panes.
C-b + [eE] to switch the mode for the synchronize-panes.
C-b + x to delete the current pane.
C-b + d to dettach the current session.
C-b + C-z to suspend the tmux client.
C-b + ? to query the information
#tmux ls
#tmux a -t 0

◎、Above context is about the introduction how to make the environment for input the commands at the same time through the tmux, and you can ref here to use another tool to reach the same function through the terminator, but need to be under the environment of GUI only. That’s all for today, and hope this article is helpful for you. See you next time!
